Frequently Asked Questions
How deep will my well need to be drilled?
Depth depends on the aquifer under your specific property, not a single number we can quote sitewide. We assess the site first and give you a depth estimate before drilling starts.
Do you handle the plumbing and electrical, or just the drilling?
We handle all of it. Evans Well Drilling is licensed as a well driller in Idaho (#851) and Utah (#927), and also holds a plumbing contractor license (#74990) and an electrical contractor license (#076127), so one contractor drills the well, installs the pump, and wires the controls.
What’s the difference between a residential well and an irrigation well?
A residential well is sized and equipped to supply a household’s daily water use. An irrigation well is sized for higher-volume output to feed fields, pivots, or livestock systems. We drill and equip both differently based on that end use.
How much does it cost to drill a well?
It varies too much by depth and site conditions for us to post a number. Get quotes from a few drillers and bring them to us; we’ll match or beat the best price for the same job.
Can you repair or renovate an existing well instead of drilling a new one?
Often, yes. We evaluate existing wells for repair and renovation before recommending a full redrill, since that’s usually the faster and less expensive option when the well itself is sound.
